"Class of Contrast"

“Class of Contrast” takes you inside the classrooms and inside the homes of disadvantaged children from one neighborhood in Maceio, Alagoas - Brazil who attend Escola Estrela do Mar, (Starfish School) a school that was started in a small house and that has grown into an enriching environment for these children to seize their futures and follow their dreams.

Featuring photographs taken during school hours as well as after school, observers are able to see contrasting environments and imagine the future these children could face if not for the school next door to their neighborhood.
